Steven Spielberg founded the Shoah Foundation to record video testimonies of survivors of and witnesses to the Holocaust.

Committed to “teaching with testimony”, the Shoah Foundation partnered with Scholastic to develop curriculum that could make the survivors’ stories accessible and inspirational to students in the fight against discrimination, injustice and hate.

The power of testimony exposed students to the ordinary people whose lives were disrupted by world-changing events and was used as a compelling voice for education and action.

Through a targeted email marketing campaign, teachers were encouraged to download the free curriculum and make their classrooms…and the world…unsafe for bigotry and intolerance.
